A delegation of the Sava Youth Parliament (SYP), consisting of Roko Šarić (Croatia), Toni Fabulić (Croatia), Ivan Petrović (Serbia), and Magdalena Živanović (Serbia), participated in the 17th European Youth Parliament for Water (EYPW), held in Strasbourg, Freiburg, and Basel from 20 to 26 September 2026. The event, organized by the International Secretariat for Water – Solidarity Water Europe (ISW-SWE) in partnership with the European Collectivity of Alsace, focused on transboundary cooperation, with the ISRBC continuing its role as a supporting partner.
The SYP delegation actively participated in lectures, panel discussions, committee work, and field visits. At the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Magdalena Živanović, President of the 16th EYPW, delivered an opening speech, while SYP representatives presented the work of the SYP, its cooperation with the ISRBC, and the role of youth in the Sava River Basin. The programme also included technical field visits in France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Roko Šarić was elected as 1st Vice-President of the 17th EYPW for a two-year mandate which would ensure continued SYP representation within the EYPW leadership. The session concluded with the adoption of the Common Commitment and Joint Action.
